About Lori

Lori Mandell brings more than a decade of experience in education to her consulting practice—as both an educator and a parent.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in special education and elementary education from The College of Saint Rose, as well as a master’s degree in literacy education from Dowling College.
Lori taught in the Harborfields and Bayport Blue-Point School Districts until 2017, when she stepped away to raise her two sons, Luke and Myles. Now ages 9 and 6 and students in the Commack School District, they have given Lori a meaningful perspective on education from a parent’s point of view. This experience inspired her to pursue education consulting with a focus on mindfulness and literacy.
Lori provides educators with the tools and support they need to create meaningful learning experiences. Through one-on-one coaching, group workshops, and educator retreats, she empowers educators to foster continuous improvement and academic excellence. Her approach is rooted in professional growth and guided by the belief that every child deserves an elevated educational experience supported by the insight of a seasoned teacher.
Lori also serves as Vice President of the Executive Board for North Ridge Primary School PTA in the Commack School District. As a local Town of Smithtown advocate, she is committed to strengthening and enhancing the community.
